A June Wedding, 9 years ago!

CONGRATULATIONS to Alissa and Alan on their 9th Wedding Anniversary!  Your love for each other is an inspiration to those around you!!  ENJOY a special day celebrating and reminiscing together....

FATHER'S DAY 2013

We were lucky this year that, not only were all of our children able to celebrate Father's Day with us, but  my Dad and Mom were able to join us, plus a few extended family members were in on the celebration too~

Alissa and Alan had celebrated with his Dad on Saturday, so they joined us for a potluck dinner at 5:00. Alissa and Alan provided our rootbeer floats for dessert and cookies! Yum!

 







My Mom provided the yummy barbecue chicken sandwiches, and everyone else contributed a part of the meal too!
 

Jennifer was here to help her Dad celebrate, along with her beau Nick.  (They shared the day with Nick's family too.) Jen put together a beautiful veggie tray and dip.

Mike and Corissa celebrated Dad's Day at their home before arriving at our celebration.
 

They brought pasta salad and potato chips! Cailyn and Landon made a special card for their Grandpa Ruggiero; Cailyn and Landon were excited to see Grandpa and Great Grandpa Janne,

 plus it was a chance to see their cousins Bode and Brock too.

MaryBeth and Chris with their boys, below, were helpful to bring "adult beverages" and the refreshing watermelon. Somehow MB knew that we had a "patriotic theme" going that day, and Bode and Brock were dressed in the red, white & blues!

Ken and Terry helped us celebrate and provided the potato salad and the extra "booster chairs" for our little ones!  Here, Terry helped Bode open his "early birthday gift" from us, as we, unfortunately, will be out of town for his 3rd birthday party.  Happy 3rd birthday, Bode!

Terry's husband, Ken, with his youngest grandson, Brock.  Brock is quite adept at crawling now...He will be 1 year old in July!

Below, our nephew, Chris, and his oldest son, Bode, are deep in a telephone conversation...notice that Chris is using the high-tech LEGO telephone of his own creation!

And Vince provided some FUN with the famous "Flying Monkey" after the gifts were opened.

 Overall, everyone seemed to have a good time...and the little ones kept the adults "busy" 

with ALL of their "busy-ness"!

FUN times with Cailyn and Landon!

A few weeks ago, Grandpa and Mimi had a chance to play with Cailyn and Landon in their own home while their mommy and daddy enjoyed a much-deserved evening out.  We had a great time interacting with and observing the children in their home environment!

Corissa had their dinner prepared, so we enjoyed sitting at the table while they ate their mac n cheese and chicken nuggets and fruit!  I brought some cookies for dessert!

Landon showed me his expertise on the plasma car and I took video of him playing on the floor mats in the spacious livingroom, which Landon then enjoyed watching! Wish I could learn how to post one here as it is so precious!

Upstairs, we played in the kitchen, did some coloring, listened to music, and they showed us their bedrooms.  The train table now sits in Landon's room.

They each have a set of "cubbies" in their bedrooms for organization...Mike says he put them together, but Corissa "organized" the spaces!
